How about a hand me up?
Hey! I'm Lindsay!
I'm a clothes horse. A fashionista. Trend hound.
A fashion plate, hipster, whatever you want to call it.
I love clothes! I always have. In high school, I took pride in never repeating a single outfit (Really!). As I got older, my closet kept growing and growing (Because I didn't really grow - shout out to my favorite sweatshirt from middle school!). But living in NYC, the land of tiny closets, it became clear things would have to go.
With that, I would take bags of cast offs to clothing swaps, Goodwills and every consignment shop that would have me.
I never thought twice about it,
these pieces were going to good new homes!
Or so I thought.
In 2015, I had my eyes opened to the problem that can be FASHION. How much water it takes to make, how terrible the conditions are for garment workers, and what kind of
waste donating clothes can create.
But I couldn't stop looking for the next great outfit...
So, I decided, I had to be smarter about where I got my clothes. I had to start looking at hand me downs as hand me UPs, and find new ways to incorporate a more forgiving fashion in my life.
And now we're here!
I'm not an expert, but I want to learn as much as I can about creating a sustainable and stylish life (And closet!) and
I hope you'll join the club with me!
