It finally happened! The Hand Me Up Club is now available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Stitcher ! To celebrate, I hosted a clothing swap party (A clothing swap party that sold out EXTREMELY fast, to my surprise!).
At the party we had sections set out for every size and accessories, sweet treats from Insomnia Cookies and drinks from Bubly, Babe Rose and White Claw. There was a millennial pink photobooth set up with Broadway photographer, Stephanie Oberle. All of the leftover clothing items (In total, 3 small bags) were recycled with Helpsy.
Guests started arriving around 6PM and the party went on for several hours. It was so fun getting to talk with the 50+ attendees that came to the event and see people leave with some amazing new additions to their wardrobe. A few women asked me, "Why a clothing swap?" My answer was simple, "The most sustainably, fashionable thing you can do is wear what you already have. But the second most sustainably fashionable thing you can do is trade clothes with your friends, which is what we are doing here!"
I'm so pleased with Wednesday night's event, and happy to have all these new members in The Hand Me Up Club!
